Our mission is to remove barriers to generational success by equipping youth, families, and communities with the mental health tools, economic skills, and support they need to thrive.
We envision communities where everyone is mentally well, economically secure, and empowered with the support, tools, and opportunities needed to build lasting success together.
BUILT FROM LIVED EXPERIENCE
Legacies Empowered was founded from both professional experience and personal truth.
As a mental health professional, our founder saw firsthand how often people were only introduced to support once they were already in crisis.
By the time many reached services, they had been overwhelmed, unsupported for years, and navigating challenges that could have been addressed earlier with the right tools, access, and environment.
That gap was also deeply personal.
As a suicide attempt survivor who struggled with her own mental health as a young person, our founder understood the conversations that were not happening, the stigma that kept people silent, and the lack of relevant support available to those facing real struggles. She knew too many people were trying to navigate difficult seasons without the language, resources, or safe spaces to do so.
She also recognized that mental health does not exist in isolation. Many of the same individuals facing emotional and mental health challenges were also navigating economic barriers, limited access to opportunities, lack of exposure to career pathways, and environments that made it difficult to see or build a different future.
Legacies Empowered was created to respond earlier, support more holistically, and create pathways for long-term success.
