Community Trainings

Learn about the variety of training options we offer in community settings and request a training using the form below.

Mental Health First Aid

An evidence-based, early-intervention course that teaches you how to Identify, Understand and Respond to mental health and substance use challenges in our community.

For Adults
  • Youth Mental Health First Aid - For parents, caregivers and other adults who work with youth ages 12-18 to recognize and help young people facing mental health and/or substance use issues.

  • Adult Mental Health First Aid - For community members, organizational leaders and people who work with adults over 18 who may encounter someone having a mental health or substance use issue or crisis.

 

For Teens
  • Teen Mental Health First Aid - For ages 14-18 who want to be empowered to help themselves and their peers who are experiencing mental health or substance use challenges.

Question, Persuade & Refer Suicide Prevention

Teaches young people and adults about the signs of a suicidal crisis and how to assist someone who may be thinking about taking their own life. QPR teaches three steps to help save a life (Ask a question, Keep them Safe and Refer to help) and allows you to practice these skills in a safe learning environment. 

Overdose Prevention Education

Legacies Empowered distributes naloxone (Narcan), the overdose reversal medication, and hosts training on how to administer it. With your help, we can empower community members, including youth, to save lives and prevent overdose. We incorporate trainings into our existing programs and welcome requests for trainings.
